Priyanka Chopra makes a statement with easy, yet sexy fashion

Priyanka Chopra returned to the ramp to close the show for Varun Bahl at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014.
Varun presented the Reliance Trends Winter Festive 2014 collection and Priyanka, looking every bit a sexy and sassy showstopper, walked for them for the third consecutive time at LFW. Speaking to us about her unconventional look, she said, “Varun has put together a beautiful collection that features timeless pieces re-imagined through the use of contemporary prints, textures and patterns.This is fashionable, yet perfect for our everyday lives, something I believe in. My fashion is very accessible. This palette of varied styles will help you make your own personal statement stylishly.”

Varun’s diffusion collection included jackets, trousers, skirts and shirts combined with modern silhouettes and traditional Indian techniques. Varun’s famous rose motif appliqués were on display, as was his signature colour palette. Playing on a nature-inspired theme, he unveiled a muted colour palette, and light, delicate fabrics, with enchanting elements like embroidered flowers and leaves. The collection featured western silhouettes and comprised day and night-time wear. True to style, every piece of clothing evoked luxury, versatility and feminine class.
Despite her confident strut on the ramp, PC later told us that she was a tad jittery before hitting the runway. She said, “I’m always nervous, but I’m fortunate that I’ve known people in the modelling fraternity and they always give me tips before I walk.”
